Newark Liberty International Airport –
New Terminal A Redevelopment

The $2.7 billion redevelopment of Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport is the largest design-build infrastructure project in New Jersey’s history. Opened in January 2023, the new one-million-square-foot terminal replaces the original facility with a modern, 33-gate terminal designed to accommodate over 13 million passengers annually and support future airport growth. The project includes comprehensive landside and airside upgrades, modernized passenger amenities, sustainable building systems, and regionally inspired art and retail experiences.
