Summary
The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, a vital transportation link in New York City with over 200,000 vehicles crossing daily, is undergoing comprehensive rehabilitation. This work addresses long-overdue maintenance of the bridge's two 693-foot towers, which have not been fully blast cleaned since their construction in the 1960s.
